Hi, everyone!
With summer right around the corner––– and, in many places, feeling like it’s already in full swing––– it’s that magical time of year when people everywhere start packing their bags to travel. Students––– and even some teachers––– travel home after months of hard work. Recent graduates travel across the country and around the world to seek out new adventures as they start new chapters in their lives. And people of all ages start thinking about where they’d love to go on vacation!
Wherever you’re headed, we at Jammin’ with Jamie will continue our grand tradition of giving you a souvenir to take with you: a travel playlist to jam to on your way. So, if your journey home takes an unexpected detour, don’t worry, because you can pass the time with some…
… “Hometown Harmonies”!
Wherever you call home, whether it’s where you currently live or a place you’ve only been to once, you’ll feel right at home jammin’ with us on a musical journey across the United States!
The tunes we’ll be jammin’ to this week come courtesy of artists such as Pee-wee Herman, Doris Day, Elvis Presley, (Son of) Svengoolie, and more! Certain selections come from films such as Hairspray (2007), Easter Parade (1948), The Princess and the Frog (2009), and The Music Man (1962), and TV shows such as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and I Love Lucy!
I hope you consider jammin’ with us this week! If you’d like more information about the show, look no further than right here!
Thank you for reading, listening, and “jammin’,”
Jamie Lee
