“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Heroic Harmonies”!

Hi, everyone!

It’s time for another installment of a grand Jammin’ with Jamie tradition!

In recent years, the beginning of May has meant two things:

1. Free Comic Book Day, which is this Saturday, May 7!
2. There’s a new superhero movie! This year, it’s Captain America: Civil War!

So, just like last year, it’s time once again to grab our suits, masks, and signature props and fight the good fight for fun music!

Whether you’re Team Cap, Team Iron Man, Team DC Comics, or Team “I Want to Be a Superhero and Save People, Too,” we can all unite for Jammin’ with Jamie and jam together to…

Suit up!

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Superhero Songs”!

Hi, everyone!

I know where a lot of my fellow Jammers will be this weekend… seeing The Avengers: Age of Ultron! I already saw it, and let me say: it’s epic, with drama, humor, and exciting surprises all the way through!

Also, on Saturday, May 3, it’s Free Comic Book Day, so go visit your local comic book store! Have you never been to your local comic book store? Well, Saturday would be a great day to start!

But what will you do as you wait outside with baited breath for the comic book store to open Saturday morning?

Suit up, Jammers, because it’s time for…

Jammers… ASSEMBLE!

“I’m Just the Middleman,” Part 1: The Spontaneous Poster Introduction!

Hi, everyone!

In May of 2008, my family and I went out to a mall for dinner. This particular mall always had various ads on posters that rotated up and down in little “stations” throughout the building. We’d look at them, but wouldn’t really pay too much attention to them unless it was advertising a movie that we already knew and were excited about.

But on this particular evening, one of the posters drew my attention––– to the point where I stood in front of the station through countless rotations just so I could take it all in. I had to memorize it so I could remember every detail of it later. I had no idea how long the mall would keep the poster in the rotation, and did not want to risk it disappearing and forgetting about it.

This is what I saw:

This should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway: this stood out.

“Sands of Zanzibar!” What is THAT?!
