Robin Williams

First and foremost, I want to give my deepest and sincerest condolences to Robin Williams’ family and friends and all who knew him.

I never, ever thought I’d be writing something like this. I don’t feel qualified to write this. After all, I never met Robin Williams. I’m not a comedian, or a professional writer or performer (yet). Who am I to write about a genius––– and I do not use that term lightly––– like Robin Williams? Furthermore, who am I to feel like I lost someone when I heard that he left us far too soon?

Perhaps I don’t deserve to write this. Perhaps I don’t deserve to feel this loss. But I do feel like I have to say something, so I will. I do believe that Robin Williams is, and will always be, a prime example of how we can inspire and help people we’ve never met in ways we can never even imagine.

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Friendship Songs”!

Hi, everyone!

For those of you affected by the “polar vortex” that much of the country is experiencing right now, I hope you’re staying warm and safe!

While thinking about possible themes for this week’s jam session, I realized that we’re only a couple of weeks away from Valentine’s Day. Now don’t worry: our annual jam session to unconventional and hilarious love songs is coming up!

But romantic love isn’t the only type of love. (For those of you who have seen Frozen, I’m sure you’ll agree. For those of you who haven’t seen Frozen… you need to. You can read why here.)

So grab a buddy (or just keep him or her in mind), as we jam to…

… Is it really “friendly” to leave us in suspense like this?!

Hi, Everyone! I’m Jamie Lee!

This is my website… and my blog!  I’ll try to keep things interesting, I promise!

What will I be writing about?  Well, pretty much anything goes. (I do promise to keep all of my own writing appropriate, though.)

I will say, though, that I have a lot of catching up to do, so don’t be surprised if you find articles about, for example, Mary Poppins, Svengoolie (Svengoolie.com), Pee-wee Herman (Peewee.com), Robin Williams, Riders in the Sky (RidersintheSky.com), and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (Elvira.com) all right in a row. (And there are plenty more where those came from!)

Also, don’t be surprised if I post a link to something I’ve previously written that has found its way online one way or another, such as one of my guest articles on the horror-themed blog, Terror from Beyond the Daves (TerrorDaves.com).

If I do post a link to anything, whether it’s something I wrote, something that has nothing whatsoever to do with me (other than the fact that I saw it), or something in between, I’ll make sure I write a little something to accompany it.

If I’ve piqued your interest, that’s great!

At the time of this posting, this site is still very much a work in progress.  Pictures and other sections of the site are in the works and coming soon!

With that, it’s full disclosure time.

If you’re reading this, whether you know me personally or not, I’m already incredibly grateful to you.  The fact that you decided to read something I wrote––– no matter what the subject––– is not something I take for granted.  I will do absolutely everything I can to keep our time together interesting, entertaining, and engaging for all involved.

Please feel free to leave comments with your thoughts, questions, etc., or just to say, “Hi!” and let me know you’re here!

… And this is just the beginning!  I hope you come back soon!

Thank you for reading,
Jamie Lee
