“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Tax Tunes”!

Hi, everyone!

So many Jammin’ with Jamie traditions, so little time! And time is money!

Which reminds me… to remind you that income taxes are due April 15.

… I’ll wait until you’ve stopped hyperventilating…

Welcome back!

This week, as you fill out all those forms and crunch all those numbers––– or as you put them off just a little longer––– turn us on and jam with us to…

I hit the jackpot!

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Easter Tunes”!

Hi, everyone!

Doesn’t it seem like it’s been a while since we’ve had a holiday? Okay, so we just had St. Patrick’s Day a couple of weeks ago, but doesn’t seem like it’s been a while since we had a holiday-themed jam session?

Well, I think it’s been way too long, so I’m going to fix that! If you can hunt down our jam session on your radio (or computer or mobile device) down our jam session on your radio (or computer or mobile device) this week, you’ll find…

What? What glorious thing have I uncovered?

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Spring Songs”!

Hi, everyone!

Have you noticed something… different outside? Maybe you’ve noticed that you can now see the grass where there was once snow. Maybe you’ve noticed that there are more animals roaming around. Maybe you absentmindedly bundled up for sub-zero temperatures and a wicked wind chill recently, only to go outside and immediately regret your decision as you start sweating, which only gets worse as you look around and see that everyone else had the foresight to actually check the forecast before instinctively suiting up.

… That last one happened to a friend.

Now in the Midwest, particularly in the Chicagoland area, we know to never take non-extreme weather for granted, because tomorrow could bring a blizzard, thunderstorm, heat wave, or any other manner of dangerous weather, during which we’ll no doubt continue to go about our daily lives, anyway. Frankly, a real-life “sharknado” wouldn’t shake us.

So, in the spirit of enjoying the weather before it blows over––– literally––– this week, we’re going to jam to…

These breaks before the theme announcement warm my heart!

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Friendship Tunes”!

Hi, everyone!

For the third week, we’ll have another installment of another grand Jammin’ with Jamie tradition!

… Hey, do anything almost every week for four years. I dare you not to have traditions.

At any rate, two weeks ago, we jammed to a mix of hilarious, gut-busting love songs! No matter what your feelings about Valentine’s Day, we all had a lot of fun with these songs!

Still, I’m fully aware that the very thought of Valentine’s Day makes some people’s stomachs turn. So, I decided to counterbalance the “hilarious love song” jam session with a jam session celebrating a different kind of love.

Grab a buddy––– or, if you’re alone, keep one or more of your buddies in mind––– as we gather and jam to…

Friends don’t leave friends hanging!

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “And the Oscar Goes to… Cinematic Songs”!

Hi, everyone!

It’s time for the fourth installment of another grand Jammin’ with Jamie tradition! This Sunday, February 22, Neil Patrick Harris will take the stage and host the 87th Academy Awards!

So we’re going to have our very own pre-Oscar party!

(Struggles to open the envelope)…

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Sidesplitting Love Songs”!

Hi, everyone!

Today is Friday the 13th, and tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. So for some people, this year, they’ll have two days of bad luck!

Cue the rimshot!

Whether you love Valentine’s Day or hate it, you’re going to want to be jammin’ with us this week!

Get ready to laugh your heart out, as we jam to…

I love this already!

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Alan Menken Melodies”!

Hi, everyone!

After a couple of weeks off, we’re back to jammin’!

A few years ago, we had a jam session dedicated to the songs of Irving Berlin. This week, I decided to dedicate our jam session to another person who has helped create so many memorable songs––– just like I said during the Irving Berlin-inspired jam session, even if you don’t know his name, you definitely know his work!

So this week, our jam session is dedicated to…

… To… ?

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “Songs about Fresh Starts”!

Hi, everyone!

Even though we’re more than halfway through January, it’s still a good time to remind ourselves that a new year means a new start… if we make it that way, of course!

So, to further encourage you to seize the day and claim a fresh start for yourself, this week, we’re going to continue jamming to…

All right! Let’s get started!

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “New Year, New Beginnings”!

Hi, everyone!

That’s right: Jammin’ with Jamie is back from winter hiatus, and we’re all set to start jammin’ again to some fun tunes you can sing and dance to!

It’s a brand new year, which means it’s a great time to wipe the slate clean and start something new or rededicate yourself to something you love.

Of course, starting something new or diving back into something you’ve been away from for a while can take some motivation.

Well, that’s what we’re here for! Come in from the cold weather, curl up by your radio, computer, and/or mobile device, and join us as we embark on a new adventure with…

“Huzzah and tally ho! We’re off and here we go”!

“Jammin’ with Jamie” Theme: “My Favorite Holiday Harmonies (Holidays 2014: Part 3)”!

Hi, everyone!

After this week’s jam session, we’re going to go on hiatus for a few weeks, but we will return Saturday, January 10!

But for this week, we’re still jammin’ to those timeless holiday harmonies! Which ones are we jammin’ to this week, you ask?

Great question!

Have you ever wondered what I’m doing behind the mike while we’re jammin’ to fun tunes each week? Well, usually, I’m singing and dancing right along with you!

Yes, it’s true: I love almost all of the songs we jam to and know them by heart! But, as I put together each week’s theme for us to jam to, some of my absolute favorite songs just end up slipping through the cracks.

So this week, we’re going to fix that, as we jam to some of…

The suspense is more chilling than the weather!
