Now that the New Year has arrived, holidayseason is officially over. The next major holiday isn’t for another month, and it’s a divisive one, to say the least!
Until then, we’re in this odd “in-between” time: fresh off a series of tightly-packed holidays, still in the midst of winter, and searching for something to look forward to.
But, we can still enjoy this time! If you watched any version of AChristmasCarol during holidayseason, you probably heard the line about living “in the past, the present, and the future.”
So, we’re going to take this time to do just that, and jam to a round of…
There are still more holiday/Christmas/winter tunes under the tree!
Since this Jammin’ with Jamie jam session will jam the morning of ChristmasEveand the first night of Chanukah, many of you will be starting your holiday celebrations, and we’re going to help with some sensational…
I had a pretty hectic Halloween season this year, so I wasn’t able to continue my seriesaboutHalloweenmovies. However, I know that my subsequentseries on holiday/Christmas/winter movies (and specials) only had half the amount of entries… that is, only two. Yikes.
So, I’m going to rectify that this year, starting…
… now!
For those of you who are new (or just don’t remember), this is how this series works…
This month, I’m going to watch (and, in some cases, re-watch) some movies that are perfect for the holiday/Christmas/winter season. These are not reviews, because I’ll only be writing about films I love and recommend. There’s no plan, method, or scientific algorithm to what movies I’m going to watch or how I’m going to structure these entries. I’m just going to have fun with it, and I hope you will, too!
First up, a TV movie that I believe is ridiculously underrated…
It’s a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie (2002)!
I do not own any of the following images or videos!
Here’s the trailer:
It’s ALWAYS a merry Christmas with The Muppets!
It’s a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie (2002) Plot:The Muppets are putting on a big Christmas show to save their theater, but when everything goes wrong and Kermit the Frog’s spirit seems broken, an angel comes to show him what the world––– and his friends––– would be like if he’d never been born.
I also have a very personal connection to this movie, which you’ll have to read on to find out about!
Due to illness, this Jammin’ with Jamie jam session will jam Saturday, November 26!
Next Thursday, it’s time to gather with friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving!
While you’re thinking about what you’re thankful for and working up an appetite, make sure you jam with us (pun intended), as we tide ourselves over with an appetizer of…
Many of you are no doubt still celebrating the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series. Well, allow us on Jammin’ with Jamie to help you continue that celebration!
Thank you for sharing this magical broomstick ride through spooky seasonal songs with us! We have come to our final Halloween-themed jam session (for now), and this time, we’re going to take our theme as literally as possible!
When the bell tolls six on Saturday morning, it will be time for…
As I have made clear in somanypreviouspostshere (and on other sites), I’m a big fan of horror (and horror comedy). I have a special place in my heart for monster movies. Monster movie fans often dub ourselves, “Monster Kids.”
This week on Jammin’ with Jamie, we’re unleashing our inner Monster Kids––– or maybe, for some of you Jammers, discovering them––– with one of my personal favorite of our Halloween jam session themes…
